I'm Anne Evans, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering online therapy throughout Texas, with in-person sessions in Austin. I work with pre-teens, teens, young adults, parents, couples, and families who are navigating the complicated, sometimes messy parts of growing up and growing together. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in a simple belief: when we understand what's happening underneath the behavior, we can begin to respond differently.
Our relationships, experiences, and family dynamics shape how we understand ourselves and navigate the world. That's why I look at the bigger picture, whether I'm working with a teen who's struggling to regulate their emotions, a young adult trying to find their independence, or a parent who wants to break an old pattern.
Pre-Teens: Helping kids ages 7–12 navigate anxiety, big feelings, friendships, school stress, and growing independence.
Teens & Young Adults: Supporting adolescents as they navigate identity, relationships, emotional challenges, and the transition into adulthood.
Parents & Caregivers: Helping parents better understand their children, manage difficult moments, and feel more confident in how they show up.
Families: Creating space for better communication, stronger relationships, and navigating challenges together.
Individuals: Supporting adults through anxiety, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, and personal growth.
I became a therapist after raising three children of my own. I've seen firsthand how meaningful and complicated family relationships can be, and how quickly a family can find itself navigating something nobody quite knows how to handle. I've also spent years working in schools, clinics, nonprofits, and community mental health settings. That experience has taught me to look beyond what's happening on the surface and get curious about what's going on underneath.
Some days therapy is about building practical skills. Other days it's about understanding an old pattern, finding the words for something hard, or simply having a place where you don't have to hold everything together. We'll figure out what you need, together.
Between school pickups, activities, work, and everything else that fills a family's calendar, finding time for therapy can feel like one more thing to manage. Online therapy makes it possible to get support from wherever you are in Texas, whether that's Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, or a smaller community where finding the right therapist feels especially difficult.
We'll meet virtually in a private setting, giving you space to talk, reflect, and work through what's happening without having to add a commute to your day.
You don't need to know exactly what's wrong or have a perfect explanation for what you're experiencing. If something feels off for you, your child, or your family, that's enough of a reason to reach out.
I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation so we can talk about what's bringing you here, answer your questions, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
