How can I help?

Therapy in Northern California and Virtually in Texas and Colorado

What can we work toward together?

I work with pre-teens, teens, individual adults, parents, and families to help make sense of the hard stuff—whether that’s big emotions, stuck patterns, or seasons of change. Therapy is a space where we can slow things down, get curious about what’s going on underneath, and build new ways of coping, connecting, and moving forward. Here are some of the areas I often support clients through.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like worry—it can show up as perfectionism, irritability, refusal to go to school, or nonstop “what if” questions. Whether you or your child is shy and withdrawn or wound up with stress, we help them name what they’re feeling, understand where it comes from, and learn skills to move through it. Therapy gives you a place to exhale, feel understood, and build confidence in themselves.

For adults, anxiety can feel like your mind never turns off. Like no matter how much you plan or prepare, it’s never quite enough. Maybe you’re juggling a hundred things, or maybe you’re frozen, unsure which step to take next. You might look like you have it all together on the outside, but inside, you're exhausted from holding it all. In therapy, we help you make sense of the overwhelm, quiet the constant self-questioning, and learn how to move through life with more ease, steadiness, and trust in yourself.

Anxiety, Worry & Big Feelings

When a child or teen seems stuck in sadness, losing interest in the things they used to love, it can be heartbreaking to watch. Depression isn’t always obvious—it can look like low energy, withdrawal, hopelessness, or even anger. We create a space where your child feels safe enough to share what’s going on inside, and we work with them (and with you) to gently rebuild motivation, self-worth, and hope.

For adults, it can feel like you’re moving through your days with the weight of a wet blanket—everything duller, heavier, harder. Maybe you’ve stopped reaching out, stopped trying, stopped expecting anything to change. Maybe you're keeping up the routine, but it all feels flat. Therapy is a space to say things out loud you’ve been carrying alone, to feel even a flicker of something again, and to slowly reconnect with what makes life feel worth showing up for.

Mood & Motivation Struggles

Big emotions are part of growing up—but when they take over, kids and teens can feel out of control, and so can their parents. If your child melts down over small things or shuts down completely, we help them understand their feelings, not fear them. Using practical strategies and relational support, we teach kids to name what’s happening, self-regulate, and recover faster when things get hard.

Maybe you’re someone who feels things deeply—and maybe it’s gotten harder to manage lately. Small things set you off. You snap, or shut down, and then feel the wave of shame or regret roll in after. Or maybe you’ve learned to keep everything contained so tightly it aches. Therapy can help you get to know your emotional world without being ruled by it. Not to numb yourself, but to find steadiness and self-trust, even when life feels messy.

Emotional Regulation & Reactivity

Neurodivergent kids and teens often feel misunderstood and confused—because they really care, and they are trying so hard, but the world doesn’t quite understand how their brains work. Whether your child struggles with attention, impulsivity, sensory sensitivity, or social challenges, we offer support that’s attuned to how they think and feel. We’ll work with your child to build self-understanding, confidence, and skills that help them thrive, while also supporting you with tools that actually work.

If you’ve spent most of your life wondering why certain things seem harder for you than they are for other people—or been told you’re “too much” or “not trying hard enough”—you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve recently realized you’re neurodivergent, or maybe you’ve always known but never had support that truly fits. In therapy, we work together to untangle old shame, explore how your brain actually works, and figure out what helps you function and feel good—not just pass.

Loss comes in many forms—death, divorce, moves, friendship shifts, or changes in family dynamics. For kids and teens, grief can be confusing and isolating, especially when they don’t have the words to explain what they’re feeling. We help young people process what’s been lost, make sense of what’s changing, and find ways to move forward with connection, meaning, and resilience.

Grief in adulthood can feel like a quiet unraveling. Maybe no one knows how much something impacted you, or maybe you're still showing up every day, wondering how the world keeps moving when yours has changed so much. Whether you're grieving a person, a season of life, a version of yourself, or a future that no longer exists, therapy gives you space to say the hard things out loud and begin to carry them differently—with meaning, with compassion, and with room for what comes next.

Change, Life Transitions & Grief

You want to show up for your child—but sometimes it’s hard to know how. Whether you're navigating tantrums, teen pushback, or a mental health diagnosis, we’re here to help you feel more grounded, capable, and connected. We support you in understanding what’s really going on, and how to respond in a way that helps your child—and you—feel more at peace.

Parenting can be beautiful, brutal, and everything in between—sometimes all in the same day. Maybe you’re carrying the pressure to do it all “right,” or worried you’re getting it wrong. Maybe you're running on fumes, reacting in ways you don’t want to, and wondering how to break the cycle. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. Together, we can make sense of what’s happening and help you show up in ways that feel more aligned—with your child and with yourself.
