Online therapy in California

For teens, parents, and families navigating the big and little challenges of life

Growing up is complicated. So is raising someone who's growing up.

One minute, you feel like you understand your teen. The next, something changes. They're shutting down, getting anxious about things that never used to bother them, or responding to everyday frustrations with emotions that feel much bigger than the situation.

And sometimes, it's not your teen who's struggling. Maybe you're navigating a relationship change, questioning how you were raised, or trying to find a little space for yourself in a life that revolves around everyone else's needs.

I've spent years working with young people and families in schools, community programs, clinics, and therapy settings. One thing I've learned is that behavior rarely tells the whole story. A teenager who's pulling away may be struggling to figure out who they are. A young adult who seems angry may actually be overwhelmed. A parent who's frustrated may be exhausted from trying everything they can think of. In therapy, we'll make room for what's underneath those experiences, without blame, shame, or the expectation that anyone needs to have it all figured out.

Because there's always more to the story

California therapy services include:

I'm Anne Evans, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering virtual therapy throughout California. I work with children, teens, young adults, parents, couples, and families, helping people better understand themselves and each other.

I bring warmth, curiosity, and a healthy appreciation for the fact that being human is complicated. Sometimes we need practical tools. Sometimes we need to feel understood before we're ready to change anything. I won't expect you or your child to arrive with perfectly organized thoughts or a clear agenda. We'll start with what's happening now and figure the rest out as we go.

A place to be yourself, even when things feel messy

Between work, school, family commitments, and everything that comes with a full life, getting support shouldn't require rearranging your entire week. I offer online therapy to clients throughout California, from the Bay Area and Los Angeles to Sacramento, San Diego, and communities in between.

Virtual sessions give us a consistent space to connect and focus on what matters, whether we're working through a specific challenge or taking time to understand patterns that have been part of your life for years.
